Abu Garcia 706 Closed Faced Reel (Pre-Owned)

This pre-owned ABU 706 Closed Face Reel is in exceptional used condition.

The ABU 706 is a lovely small reel which is very good for trotting a float on running water. The closed faced design helps to reduce tangles and the push button casting knob gives smooth single handed operation when casting. The line runs freely from the spool whilst trotting and a quick turn of the handle engages the pick up pin to allow you to retrieve gear, and fish.

The optional anti-reverse and syncro drag allows you to either play fish on the pre-set drag or by back winding. With the syncro drag set and the anti-reverse on, a quarter back turn of the handle reduces the drag setting allowing you to protect your hook length if a fish makes a late dash for freedom. the drag returns to its normal setting as soon as you start to retrieve again.
